Halina Zielinski

Halina is a Polish born professional music teacher, pianist, composer, and consultant. She has been teaching piano, keyboard, theory, solfege, and coaching musicians for almost 20 years of her pedagogical career. She also writes music for piano, and works as a consultant for various educational organizations.

In the last 13 years Halina has been living in Canada; the last 8 years in the Toronto area, and prior to that in Ottawa. Her teaching classes are conducted in her private Music Studio. She has also taught private and group lessons at the Yamaha Corporate Music School in Toronto. In addition to her busy teaching career Halina conducts choirs and actively plays piano and organ.

Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1982, together with her husband Stan, also a musician, who directed a musical ensemble Divertimento, Halina spent 3 years in West Germany, occasionally joining him in public performances on piano and keyboards. They have 3 children.

Halina has a Masters Degree in Music Theory and Pedagogy from the Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, Poland.
