Angelo CalcafuocoAngelo is currently the head of the Strings Department at Appleby College in Oakville Ontario. He is also the director of the Appleby Centre for the Arts Summer Festival. Prior to his current appointment Angelo was the chairman of the Strings Department at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Ontario. During his tenure as chairman he was the project manager and architect of the strings syllabus revision for the Royal Conservatory as well as the editor of their current graded book series. He maintains an active performing career, having served as the concertmaster of the Canadian Chamber Orchestra in Banff, Alberta. He is listed in the International Who's Who of Musicians, the Encyclopedia of Music in Canada, and cited in the International Who's Who of Intellectuals For Integrated Performance Oriented String Programs Into Balanced Academic Studies.
